The serial number was placed on the carbine receiver during the manufacturing process of the receiver, not when the carbine was finally assembled. The part numbers used by Inland Manufacturing are the same as Auto-Ordnance. Both use the same manual with the name and information for their particular company. I have since put an Inland stock back on it, as shown in the second pic. The Inland is has a 9-43 barrel date. The IBM has an 11-43 barrel date, on a Buffalo Arms barrel. It is probably a replacement barrel, so I don't really know when it was manufactured.
