Maltego Classic provides extended functionality and capabilities when compared with the free, Community Edition of the tool. Maltego Classic is a commercial application and requires a valid license key to use. The Classic edition can be used in a commercial environment while the Community edition cannot.

• Michenriksen/maltego is licensed under the MIT License. A short and simple permissive license with conditions only requiring preservation of copyright and license notices. Licensed works, modifications, and larger works may be distributed under different terms and without source code.

Maltego Classic has the capability to create and handle graphs that are far larger than those in the Community Edition as there is no limitation on the number of Entities that can be returned from a single Transform.

Additionally, Maltego Classic includes a range of different formats to which you can export your graph.
